hi mnmuench, those were some legit and big questions in post #249. my answers were a bit short but they said exactly what I think. I would like at some point to expand on them (ie. "the Goal" vs "a goal", "relative aspiration" vs "oriented aspiration", what constitutes to be "metaphysically unsound", how far can one practise a metaphysically unsound path without incurring harm? and what is the permanent good or benefit of a lesser path?). I'm sure these questions will either answer themselves re: ACIM or they will show up again at some point. I'm going to keep my opinions on those types of questions mostly to myself for the moment. Let's see what develops down the road through our response to the meditative lessons Tomato posts. The only thing I would like to add at this point is the accelerating rate of change and our increasing desire for the stimulation of our senses has shortened our attention spans with regards to thinking and feeling. This reduces our "field of vision" to something less than what is implied by the biblical verse "Be still and know I am God".

regards, ghunk
