Maybe you mean the feature phone market share where the Asha Nokia phones have actually found success and have in fact gained market share?? But I fail to see what benefit would that be to Samsung. IMO, this verdict changes nothing in the ecosystem wars. In fact it makes Samsung that much more aggressive in the Android market, especially with their Galaxy Tab tablets as well as their Galaxy SIII phones. And for the $1 billion, all Samsung has to do is raise prices to Apple a few cents to recoup it all back and then some. And for Android as a whole nothing changes. All of the models that were in the verdict were old models from Samsung. Most of them in fact are not even for sale anymore. And hardware and software workarounds are in the new models. Even Apple used an Android Sony phone of showing a non-infringing phone, along with a Lumia. This changes nothing in the Android world. If anything, Apple got shut down in the iPad of theirs as not one of the Galaxy Tabs was found to infringe on their iPad patents. And they were the closest to iPad of all the tablets.
