Elmer,

Re: "This
overheating is exactly what Yousef told us to expect to see."

I have been posting for some time about the disadvatages of using a higher
operating supply voltage to get the 233mhz K6 performance. As mentioned
many times, power will be a lager problem for AMD versus Intel due to the
different supply voltages (Intel .35um process is at lower voltage). This
all stems from the fact that AMD's .35um process is not as agressive with
the FET drive currents and these have not been optimized for lower voltages.
This also will occur with the AMD .25um process based on preliminary
info on operating supply voltages for this new AMD process.

BTW Elmer remember, Brian is not responding to you ... or ... me. I
wonder if as a child, Brian took his ball and went home ... or ... held
his breath to get his way !! Rather childish don't you think ??!!

Make It So,
Yousef
