Neil Armstrong, the commander of Apollo 11 died today. He was one of my heroes of my youth. Neil was a wonderful man and a great American. I was a young Captain in Vietnam when I heard the news of the moon landing. All of my men cheered and stared at the moon that night. I think it gave us a sense of pride and purpose. It is sad that this is the first post on this thread in almost 10 years. God Bless America.
