Iomega is not currently offering rebates on Zip drives. What KE did was take the Zip off MAP (minimum advertised price) at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

This allows retailers to advertise and sell Zips for anything they please because they are no longer receiving market development funds from Iomega. There is no price impact on Iomega.

Shortly after removing MAP, both CompUSA and Best Buy offered $99 Zips. It is expected that many retailers will offer $99 Zips for Christmas.

ZipPlus drives and Zip disks remain on MAP.
