I don't know what his holdings are, but even if so, this doesn't mean he is wrong, John. We have an enormous abundance of NG - and limited supplies of traditional oil. Even with alternative fuels gasification may prove to be better and more effective than trying to boil oil out of rock.

Bacteria generate gas... just see what happens with cows, as they try to digest their high fiber diets... :)
