OK. You are talking about market clearing activities setting the prices correctly on the remaining entity's books. Yes, some of that is happening, but I guarantee you we still have hundreds of billions in deleveraging and markdowns that have yet to happen. It could have gone faster if our government had used anti-trust and bankruptcy laws to break up the Too Big Too Fails, instead of molly coddling them with tax payer funded bailouts, ZIRP, and QE. Talk about mal-investment inducing activities. That's the mother of them all. And it has consequences. I've never bought this idea that we can extend, pretend, print, and spend our way to prosperity. It's never worked in history and it won't work this time either.
