They are wrong. I have done business business or my family has been in business in South America, Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico throughout the years since the 60s and it is not true. Funny. Mexico is well known for its corruption on every level; yet you and your family found them to be honest when it comes to banking. Sorry but I just can't take your word on this particular subject. I have German friends living in Mexico and they tell me all the time the corruption they face just doing business in that country. I might believe you when it comes to Costa Rica......but then I don't consider CR a banana republic.
