I kind of like that idea. At least in the end, it would look like we accomplished something.
What about having Afghanistan divided into 2 separate nations?
I'm not sure if Karzai will love it, but -- why not? Something worth considering. Let the crazies keep their desert paradise, and send out a drone to check on them, once in a while..... And those Afghans who would like to live in a sane country would have a chance to do so.
