Hope you are having a relaxing vacation....did you forget about the market!

I need some assistance when you get back to home base.

In your post you indicated that your buy signal might be changed if the SPZ gapped up more than 3 points.

I am using data from CME in analyzing the days action...time and sales AND daily settlement prices.

I am having trouble reconciling the two and figuring out at which point you look for the gap.

For instance, CME lists 954.80 as the open for the SPZ...as of 8:30 am this was not the first price (it was 956.30) So are they using Globex overnight info....They list previous days settlement at 955.00

So using that info the requisite gap is not there.

Looking at 9:30 info the price was basically 959. The gap is there if you use previous days settlement and 9:30 as your open.

Do you see what I am getting at here.

Also, CNBC is always talking about how the futures pit closes at 9:15 and reopens at 9:30. There are sales in between those two points on the data...are these just settlement transactions? What is the "A" "B" and "C" by some of the prices
