That page has its own complexities, LOL.

I think all societies boil down to a contradiction (e.g. America was started by slave owners who wanted to be free - George Carlin), and I think the same can be said of political parties and pressure groups.

When the NDP talk about "Doing something for average Canadians", it just doesn't resonate. I never asked to be an obedient rank and file peasant. I don't want to be average. I want participate in running things. The upper echelons of the party don't give a rat's ass about what anybody else think or want.

Actually, this is something Oscar Wilde talked about in "The Soul of Man Under Socialism". He said if everyone got enough of the pie to have some energies to direct toward greater things according to their abilities, then it would happen.

So why isn't it happening?
