Bingo. This is the point most people miss in their discussion of Buy N Hold Vs Trading. I am a long term holder of IOM and am very very happy that i didn't trade. First of all, i don't think i could have made perfect trades and who knows? I wouldn't be having all the IOM shares I have now if I had tried trading. Next the more important time. I frankly don't know how people with full time jobs find time to do day trades (unless their full time job itself is related to trading). Also, my humble opinion is that rather than people spending so much effort in trying to catch these few dollar movements, they could spend time with their family and the people they love. Trading might be OK for other companies but in IOM where you see so much long term potential, I never felt like pressing that sell button. I am willing to give away couple of dollars of movement than risking not owning IOM ;-) Oh. BTW, I didn't even talk about the tax effect. Imagine Bill Gates trading MSFT rather than holding for ever. I doubt if he will be the world's richest man now ;-) Finally, I tolally agree that it is up to the individuals to decide on what ever way they choose but just keep in mind that there is no such thing as free lunch. Ofcourse, i also agree that i am taking risk also by choosing Buy N Hold but that's the trade off i can settle for. There is also a humble request from me for the traders. If possible talk about the general movement of IOM than about your individual trades of few $$ here and there. This thread will be a lot better place if there will be more discussion about IOM than about our individual trades and egos. Thanks for your willingness to co-operate. Now back to lurking :-) -senthil
