I would challenge the need to qualify the comment with the word "black". It isn't even remotely relevant. Any person who was throwing things at someone else, calling them "animals", within the convention sounds like undesirable behavior to me, regardless of anyone's skin color.

Why do you, teddy, and the left in general, feel the need to constantly refer to people as "black" or "white"?

You would do well, before making such comments, to ask yourself why you feel the need to always play the segregationist.
