I see you over on the AMD thread. Someone put up an article about someones K6-233 overheating. The idiot who wrote the article was using an ASUS P55t2p4 motherboard that doesn't have 3.2 volt outputs.
I see this kind of stupidity in the press all the time.
That said...I've not been impressed with the K6 needing a 3.2 volt core to achieve 233. Intel and Cyrix do it at 2.9.
I can appreciate Sanders' strategy which comes from the Japanese model. Gain market share at all costs. Trouble is that the K6 doesn't have that long of a life span and Intel has the Pentium Ii to take the cream off the top. Still, AMD will muddy up the water for a while.
