There is always a weak spot in all top down solutions. Maybe the RVU's were thought through very well -- I suggest that it's not smart long term to be too hard on the RVU system. It seems to me that they did about as good a job as possible designing it. You know we're never going back to market pricing. So all complaints about flaws in the current approach push us further into socialism. The only way to get rid of the headaches associated with insurance companies and payment structures and the like is to have the government own and operate everything and employ everybody. Then the only payment analysis that needs to be done is in the federal budgeting process as the government decides where to distribute the resources, which would be pretty much invisible.
