None of us wants to live in a country where we let people die, or suffer because of a disaster, even when the people in question are moronic republicans who don't *believe* in government. We have to build that- even for them. Disaster relief? We, the citizens, built that. Roads and airports to allow disaster relief? We, the citizens, built that. National guard to help you out of your flooded home? We, the citizens, built that. Low interest loans to help you rebuild, food to keep you from starving, emergency shelters? We, the citizens, built that. Republicans may not want to be part of a society that includes everyone, but I (and I think most here) want to make sure that for the really big projects, that make life so much better, we pay for everyone, even the morons in the republican party, and we build it so that even the ungrateful, even the folks who are complete hypocrites, can still access services. And they do. They do. Silly republicans. What they build is an edicfice to stupidity. Now we, as democrats, must be magnanimous and give them the services they need, and try to ignore what dolts they are as we do it.
