I would be quite surprised to see a settlement announced before Friday in either the Sun or DOJ suit against Microsoft. MSFT stock hasn't suffered much, if at all, as a result of either suit, and I don't think they'd see much benefit to settling (a million dollars a day notwithstanding). I think MSFT had plenty of advance warning of the likelihood of the Sun suit and made their decision to fight (unless Sun were to back down, and I don't consider that likely -- why would they?).

JMHO, of course.
