First Solar Tumbles 17% on Push-Out of Arizona Sales
By Tiernan Ray
blogs.barrons.com

Shares of solar energy technology provider First Solar ( FSLR) are down $4.11, or almost 17%, at $20.09 following a report by Bloomberg’s Christopher Martin and Justin Doom saying the company is slowing installation of solar panel modules at one of its U.S. projects

The authors cite Maxim Group analyst Aron Chew as saying First Solar “overdid” the California “Agua Caliente” project in Arizona:

First Solar won’t ship additional modules until January to the $1.8 billion Agua Caliente project and won’t install panels currently sitting on the ground at the site, said Fred Pech, the power plant’s construction manager. The solar farm is scheduled for completion at the end of 2013 and is 85 percent built.
