Anyone believe this? The moron above does. Do you think she's checked the standards for her state? What a tool. Simplicity- indeed- or maybe SimpleMinded. Not only do they teach the revolution, and the constitution in history class (every high school I know has a whole year of AMERICAN history- which includes a hefty dose of the revolutionary war)- they even teach it in American literature, which is in English class. Our literature book covers sermons from the colonial era (Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God- for example), and excerpts from the original writings of our founding fathers- I am looking at them now (Thomas Paine, Franklin, Patrick Henry, informative inserts on the history of the revolution, the Declaration of Independence- yes that's right- in the English book.) On top of the year of American history, all the students in California take econ AND civics senior year- civics which covers the Constitution in depth- and I imagine most states (maybe all) do this- since the textbooks are sold to many states, because it makes economic sense to do things that way. What can you do about the mega ignorance of moronic republicans who believe every freaky bizarro email from dumbfuckistan? What can you do with people that stupid? I just have to shake my head. What can you do with such freaking intentional stupidity? How can the country survive when such idiots can vote?
