Sue:

Sorry for the delay in response, my modem decided to quit on me and I had to buy a new one. I was of-line for a couple of days.

The post you responded to was posted in error. It was meant for the WCOM thread. However, to respond to you question, I don't think so. However, I didn't predict the MCI merger. So what do I know?

I have seen the CEO of QWEST interviewed a couple of times. He doesn't seem to be the type who would be interested in a merger. Qwest, as you probably know has leased a significant amout of its new capacity to WCOM and other carriers as well. A merger wouldn't give WCOM anything it doesn't now have except for ownership of additional capacity. But never say never as you can't be too rich, too thin or have too much band-with.

Regards,

Ken aka Ed
