Did you buy Ford (F) when it was selling for <$2 a share? Yep, you could have lost you're entire investment. Or, as it turned out, you would have made 5x+. Frankly I think the NOK story is better than the F story was in late '08 early '09. So you can be wrong 3 out of 4 times and still make a killing in these situations.

I'm usually wrong about 50% of the time, as most of us are. You can manage that in different ways, by reducing risk or spreading risk. I often choose the latter.

It's been good to me. But I can shrug off the times I lose, and look at the bigger picture. A lot of folks are not financially or emotionally capable of that.

Still I wonder what your interest is? You don't seem to be long or short. Is this all a academic?
