Think about it: SLAVES! SLAVES! Everyone would do well to take a minute and concentrate on what that really was all about. We allowed people to buy and sell other people. Then these people had to work from dawn to dusk in the cotton fields. 100 degrees outside and if they got the flu or a cold, or didn't feel well and could not work, they worked anyway, or were they were whipped. And most whites were pretty much OK with this. And they could torture them at will or even kill them. They bred them, picked out the males and females and then probably watched them engage in sex. Then they took the babies from their mothers. And then polite people would have discussions about whether it was moral, or not. We are such a bunch of fools.
