I went Eastwooding at tumblr last night for a bit, but it seemed much more miss than hit. Jon Stewart, on the other hand, delivered in spades.
“I was admittedly a little down last night from being here this whole week…a little dispirited…and then it happened. (Clint intro clip with spaghetti western music) YESSSSSSSSSSSS! Amidst the tired rhetoric and empty platitudes and overwrought attacks – a fist full of AWESOME! Where it spent 12 minutes, on the most important night of Mitt Romney's life, yelling at a chair.
This is the most joy I’ve gotten from an old man since Dick Cheney non-fatally shot one in the face.

And after clip of Eastwood telling the chair, "I'm not going to shut up. It's my turn."
I am here to lent my support to Mitt Romney in his crucial hour. You will not silence me, invisible Barack Obama.

Those interested can skip the first minute, and the second half of the show is a little weak. The first half is inspired, though. Stewart even called Clint avant-garde, validating my fellow commenter at the Atlantic, sort of. Thank you, Clint, for bringing us together.

thedailyshow.com for full show, or broken down in pieces with some quotes in print at veracitystew.com , which I found looking for the old man and the seat image.
