In the "almost forty years as a political activist" how many campaigns achieved what you worked for? How many candidates you opposed were defeated? Were you more effective in supporting what you wanted than opposing what you didn't want? Or the other way around? How many amendments you supported or opposed we're voted in or out as you sought? Did you think about what worked and what didn't? People's attention span is shorter today than 15 (pre-9/11 is what I mean), or 40 years ago. Effective communication has to change, too.
