Took a starting few shares in DVN. Decided to sell my few starting shares of MCF after head guy reported he was leaving the company. (Company is so thinly managed, that I've no confidence if his successor is talented enough to continue the company's good results.)

I hold a few shares of F, GM, TM (Toyota), VLKAY. Toyota seems to me to have the best business prospects and reputation. Maybe not the best stock-increase potential though. That would be GM, I'd guess, because GM may have the most room for improvement. GM turnaround is more risky than F though, imo. F is better managed than GM, maybe has better product. My favorites in the auto/truck sector are the publicly traded retailers --- they sell several brands, they are geographically diverse, they don't have the manufacturers' capital expense or union issues, they sell both new and used cars, they have repair/collision business. Couple examples are PAG, AN.
