<But the reason AMD is two speedgrades behind Intel (besides the fact that the Pentium II thermal brick may give Intel some heat dissipation advantages over socket 7) is AMD won't sell maxed out chips-->

Kevin, In my view, the simple fact that AMD is bumping up the vcc to 3.2V is clear indication that they ARE selling maxed out chips.

I hope you aren't suggesting that Intel IS selling maxed out chips, because you're way over your head already. The fact is that Intel is reaching 300mhz on their .35u process and AMD isn't. Intel is already in production at .25u and shipping notebook processors at 233mhz. I know AMD is sampling .25u K6's, but that's about all they have really been doing with their 233mhz .35u K6. Little more than sample quantities. Yousef's statements that AMD is 2 speedgrades behind Intel .35u process is based on sound reasoning. AMD investors are lucky to be getting this information because you sure won't get it from the AMD employees who post here.
