A lot, actually. But am I worth more than Biden? I'd say probably not and my language on Biden was perhaps too harsh. Truth is I actually like the guy. I liked him being picked because I thought he was a foreign policy expert and was a great Senator in his day. I think he's now just past his prime and gaffe prone. I also think he hasn't done much to help Obama, which is why I called him worthless.

So what makes me an expert on others? Well, if they are politicians and I make a judgement on them, it's because I do a lot of reading from many diverse sources. So I make myself an expert on areas of interest. What makes any of us qualified to voice opinions on this thread? In fact, if we should not voice opinions, which is what your question implies, then what is the point of this thread or any political discourse at all?

Simple. We voice opinions in part to test them against others. If other people's arguments and points are found lacking, our opinion strengthens. If other people are able to refute your points or bring facts to your attention you were unaware of, then your opinion weakens and sometimes can be changed. That is the point of political discourse, in my opinion. But that opinion can change. :)
