Then if you get sick and need insurance, you can get it because the government won't let people reject people with pre-existing conditions. So lots of people will be better off opting for no coverage, pay the tax, and only get insurance when they need it.
And this is going to increase the number of people without insurance.....if there are 30 million without insurance, how many of them will refuse to buy.......all 30 million? It would have to be more than 30 million for Ocare to increase the number of uninsured....So even if 10 million refuse, you still have increased the number with insurance by 20 million. If you don't buy and get seriously ill you pay the fine and try to find a company that will take you without making you jump through hoops......insurance companies have bigger bureaucracies than the gov'mint... While you're shopping, you can always go to the ER for cancer treatment....
