When people who think the same way read each others posts they end up sounding the same way. On the separate sides people do think pretty much the same way- that's why we belong to the separate sides. And mirroring the speech of someone else is pretty typical. I would assume one poster read the other (hence the repetition of the word "boffo"). When you are trying to fit in with other people, it's not uncommon to adopt their words,or stylistic devices or in open conversation in 3d, even mannerisms and accent. There's nothing professional about it, usually- it's just human nature. Unless of course they aren't mirroring each other-in which case they are mirroring some 3rd source both were exposed to.
