Hi Sam.

I watched virtually all of the Republican convention. They were able to cover their lack of empathy by touting a few admirable things some of them had done over their years of living but the thing that stood out clearly from the overall convention was that many of them were the mean kids in high school. The kids who would pass by the chubby kid, the bad hair kid, the awkward kid or the shy kid and one of them would say something and then they would laugh...and everyone knew that a derogatory comment had been made at the expense of that passerby.

That's the part of his personality that Romney's shows with his dismissive laugh and his knowing smirks when he says such things as "Obama said he would slow the rise of the ocean."

The Democrats are a little too much of a "my brother's keeper" for much of the country but in these hard times I think the "too bleeding heart" will prevail over the Ayn Rand's advocates celebrating their superiority.

That's my take on the "feelings" part of the election contest and that's critical because I think that's the only avenue the Republican have this time around. On the other side of the contest their policy positions are simply...what's the right word...oh yeah, I remember now....stupid. Ed
