The question for you, then, is, do you think they could fit a larger... if not 41MP chip in the dimensions of that package ? How thick is your 808 at the widest point, with that 41MP sensor ? I think the max sensor/camera package - at present - that can fit into the mockups we saw of the Lumia 920 is 12MP.
My Nokia 808 PureView is about 1/2 inch thick, at the camera end. It's a slab. Weighs more than the iPhone, that's for sure. a LOT thicker, but not a lot larger. Negligible, in the "size" way, to me.
And I like the added heft because it helps me keep the camera steady, when I make pictures. But I'm a target market dude for the 808, not the 920.
About the 920 heat? I have no idea. My 808 is nice and cool, all the time. I installed a battery app which tells me exactly how much juice I have left, for whatever I may be using, such as average use, 44 hours, call 10 hours, web 5 hours, maps 7 hours, camera 3 hours.
Been using the 808 in every which way and it never got hot - not even warm - so no idea why the 920 would. |
