Oh, my. If I show those pictures to my wife, she will reach out through your computer screen and wring your scrawny neck. She always treated them like her "adopted" babies.

We had a children's book about javelinas, called "Don't call me pig!". It was about the similarities and differences between the two species. The kids my wife nannied could have recited that book by heart.

I decided they were becoming a bit too domesticated when one of the mothers made a "nest" right up against the outside door to my office, and she had her babies there. It was over 3 weeks before I was allowed to "relocate" her nest so I could open the door to go out on the deck.
