I've never asked for a stock certificate from my broker so I'm not really sure how it completely works. What if a person bought their shares through a discount broker such as e-schwab, etrade?? What complications arise when you want to sell your shares? Do you have to send in your certificate first?? Does this decrease the liquidity you have with current holdings??
