Bill, it's the last part of the phrase that strikes me as way over the top, i.e., "our media is always sympathetic to America's enemies."

I can see valid reasons for not showing the jumpers...the children and loved ones of the people jumping off of those towers were watching and there was no need to put such soul wrenching images in their heads and, of course, no one should want to incite violence against innocent people who might have been confused with those who perpetuated the bloodbath.

In addition, the "liberal media" clearly understand that America was mourning and had already been stirred up like hornets defending their nests so it's ridiculous to suggest that they somehow intended to take the outrage out of the attacks and deaths.

So to infer that the "liberal media" was trying not to fuel outrage because they were sympathetic to our enemies is clearly an attempt to cheap shot demonize the media.

Those who gain from such attacks are those who want a segment of our political population to consider only conservative outlets as being legitimate providers of information. Similar attacks are made on Fox and other conservative outlets by liberal voices. They know what they're doing and it's effective but when I see things like this that are transparently silly I can't help but wonder what happened to our ability to engage in critical thinking when it comes to politics.

I have a critical process that tells me when I'm being BSed, even when I might like the direction it would take me. I could never listen long to Limbaugh, or Beck or Lawrence Odonnel (sp?) on msnbc. Too many times they're stretching hard to get 2+2 to equal something other than 4 and I just can't nod my head with the sheep. None of us should. Ed
