And what makes you think cable networks are ready to handle cable
modems? Have you not read that cable network infrastructure upgrades
in excess of $10 billion are needed? Sorry, I'd place my bets on
ADSL since it will have the financial backing of telephone companies.
Cable companies aren't making a lot of money and so where are they going to get the billions needed to upgrade their networks? Please see my 9/8/96 post on Bay Networks thread so that you can keep from getting burned by cable modem investing.
