Guess the pressure worked.

Obama Spoke to Netanyahu for an Hour This Evening
By Charles C. W. Cooke
September 11, 2012 9:36 P.M.

A statement issued by the White House this evening denied claims that President Obama had refused to meet with Israel’s prime minister, Bibi Netenyahu. ”Contrary to reports in the press,” the statement argues, “there was never a request for Prime Minister Netanyahu to meet with President Obama in Washington, nor was a request for a meeting ever denied.” The release confirmed that, “as a part of their ongoing consultations,” the pair spoke for an hour this evening. It also noted that “President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu reaffirmed that they are united in their determination to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and agreed to continue their close consultations going forward.”
