Saw that. The tacky design stuff does not bother me. Dummying OS-X down to iOS does. But I have to agree: as far as I can tell from playing with W8, other than the stupid Metro start screen, it's just fine, and fast. If Apple keeps screwing up - watch them NOT announce a refreshed Mac Pro today, again, going on two years - I might end up jumping the Apple fence altogether. You read this?
