To Frank and Margaret,

Thanks for the warm welcome to what seems like a sober-minded and informative thread.

What then is the "Intel Strategy"? It seems to me that a buy-and-hold in a big blue chip is not going to give me much ROE, except at splits and dividend reinvestment. If I buy 100 shares of IBM and watch it move up and down between 95 and 105 for the next year, I'm going to get little or nothing back, whereas if I put in buy and sell limit orders at those prices, I turn my investment into a money-making machine.

Where am I wrong in this?

Happy trading, TC.

PS: I am very much a novice to the trading game, and a very small time investor, trying to make my small professor's salary earn a bit more...(This year I've been up 42%, and down 15%, and am presently somewhere in between).
