Metacomet, I'm not torn at all. I'm completely comfortable with what I believe. The federal government should only do those things it does better than the states. Protection of the people (so that includes air safety and food safety) and health care. That's an oversimplification - but close to where I'm at. All the rest can and should belong to the States. That means food stamps and education and unemployment belong to the State. Doesn't mean people shouldn't get them - just that people within the State should decide how much they can afford to pay for them - BECAUSE there is no free lunch. On social issues; I'm Libertarian across the board. Pot should be legalized, woman should have a choice on their own bodies, gay people should be allowed to marry and people should be allowed to own guns. So you really think I'm a member of the GOP?
