Well, the independents tend to be people who are on the upper end of the Middle Class spectrum, but not quite considered top 1%. Those folks are going to get hammered by the upcoming Medicare tax that Obamacare brings, as well as the tax hikes that come with the fiscal cliff. I wonder what those issues will do to independents and their vote?

I don't like the increased taxes, but I think they are necessary. So it doesn't sway me. However, I'm very unusual in that regard. That issue alone will make many independents switch from Obama to Romney.
