The idiocy that times today can repeat conditions after WWII is perhaps Krugmans craziest idea yet! The world - the economy - is just NOT the same. Here's why; The public is unable to take on more debt - so we don't have demand. In WWII the demand was largely from Europe - today Europe is mostly a basket case. The idea they will be the source of demand like they were after WWII is nuts! So then where do you think demand is going to come from Koan? .......Oh I know, Krugman wants to fill everyones pocket with free money from the government so then they have money to buy stuff - but do you really think that will work? Do you really believe? In the tooth fairy?
