FDR knew the United States faced a graet danger, and he knew the carnage taking place in Europe and especially our motherland England. He wanted to go in much earlier, but the isolationists stopped him. No one at that time even understood Keynsian economics that well. FDR was still gaining trust in it and figuring out. FDR, knew he had a big old war to fight. Thanks god he was president. Thank god Obama is president now.
