Hi Judy .. thanks for clarifying that you are long csco and bay ... otherwise I would have immediately pounced on you for being a csco spy on the bay thread :-) ... keep in mind my obvious bias in all this .. I've been with bay for a few years (somewhere between 3-10) and I have always dispised crisco for their inferior products while being insanely jealous of their superior marketing... so I certainly agree that Bay has a huge uphill battle (hear that Bay engineers .. no slackers allowed ;-) crisco is definately the 800 lb Gorilla ... and getting bigger by the minute .. but networking is NOT PCs, OS's or CPUs ... There is already immense standardization on IP .. cisco is merely trying to exploit the standard and push proprietary twists (tagging, IGRP, etc) in an attempt to keep customers locked in... this will eventually fail. And the *entire* internet infrastructure is being replaced to meet the intense bandwidth requirements of the WWW .. there is opportunity here...

I am sure you have done well with your csco long, however, I am merely stating that the upside could be significantly higher with Bay... IF we can execute ... and I wouldn't blame you a second if you had your doubts. :-)

BAY people .. you make it real!
