Not such a great day imo to be a value stock buyer with the market up 200+ (Dow) on Bernanke's speech. I got a couple of fills before the speech: a few shares of good dividend-payer utility PPL to add to the few shares I already hold; and a few starting shares of clothing retailer GES.

On the metrics I use, GES fits as a value stock. However, it's fashion as double whammy -g-: I have to be concerned about the stock going in and out of fashion, as well as (and more so) the company's clothing moving in-favor or out of.
