Speaking of the devil: I just got a email which has been circulating around. It is a video by Dock Morris who claims that under Obama second term taxes of a couple earning $ 250,000 will go up from 35% to 40%. I replied that it is an insult to the American intelligence: First, he does not know what marginal tax rate is which will go back to Clinton's days: 39.6% and not 40%. Second, couple earning $ 250K will not see any change in their taxes. Couple earning $ 500K will pay an extra $ 11,500, a pittance for people earning hal a million dollar a year. As Bill Clinton says: do the arithmetic.
