The ONLY way you can tell if speakers were effective is by looking at the poll numbers and I didn't see a lot of POP from the Rebublican convention.

Romney screwed up by picking Ryan. When he picked Ryan he changed the whole tenor of the election from the economy to the future of entitlements.

I thought he'd take the guy from Ohio and then just keep pounding on the economy to keep Obama on the defensive. Instead, he put himself on the defensive by threatening entitlements. Good luck in Florida after you do that.
