Since the shares do not exist but are only authorized shares that could be issued, would issuing them not cause dilution and thus make all the shares worth less than $30?
Larry,
Assuming the ridiculous (not an attack at you, just giving a ridiculous example), if Bill Gates would turn over MSFT to CPQ for the 1.5B new shares, do you think all 3B CPQ shares would be worth less than $30? Of course not. Why? Because the purchase of MSFT for 1.5B CPQ shares would be highly accretive.
Working down from there, at some point an acquisition becomes a wash and, at some point, it becomes dilutive.
As for the issue of sensitivity, I frankly invite questions and evidence that would undermine anything I've posted. If there is evidence out there that ASND is about to dump to $10/share or that no one would ever, in their right mind, want to acquire ASND, I sure as heck want to know! I think I do react to the manner of your questioning, for which I apologize.
