John, you're a petrol. engr., were you invested in the drillers for the last 3 yrs and enjoyed the quadrupling of your investment, and have now recently sold due to the belief that the fundamentals have changed and we have seen a top? I am looking for this person. As of yet, the many influential individuals that I know in this industry think that this is just the beginning of a long run (as well as many on Wallstreet). True these individuals may not know until after the fact that their industry has topped, but then again neither will we. So calling tops at this point is fruitless and a general waste of time. Stick w/ the L-T trend until something fundamental changes the industry outlook- the trend is your friend. As for the Semi's, they've been having fundamental pricing problems due to supply for several years and are in NO way comparable to the driller's current selloff. -Lucretius
