AT&T,MCI,Sprint will let you pay by cerdit card if you ask.
But they do not promote this at all. Reason: If you dispute
a telephone bill your only recourse if the telco doesn't agree
is the Public Utilities Commission -- and that's a real hassle.

With credit card, by contrast, it's simple to dispute; and
it's expensive for the telco because they must pay a dispute
resolution fee to the credit card company. Rack rate is $15.
High volume cutomers pay less. But even at $5 it's a looser
if $5 or less of charges are disputed.

Tel-Save bills ONLY by credit card. Tel-Save never has sold
or supported residential service. IMO, charge disputes will
hurt them badly -- especially when word gets around.
