At the risk of being repetitive.

I am a shareholder - have been a long time. Sizable position, lots of porcupine scars.
I can still see the potential. We all can. Gus illustrated the size of the platter market. If KM can ever capture a sizable portion of it, large revenues will arrive. If KM even ever makes it into any real drives at all, we will get a huge boost in credibility and valuation. We know that the Heavy Metal DSTs and DIS are remarkable devices. If they can ever go beyond their boutique markets and establish themselves as sine qua non for massive corporate backups we will get substantial growth there. The litigation strategy, however necessary is very expensive, very slow and very risky. But it might have a small positive effect on the royalty stream immediately. Perhaps already has. DCR continues to grab a sizable portion of a small market ....probably will continue to do that for awhile. Nice margins. The nature of the HDTV market is still slowly taking shape. We know it'll be a huge one eventually, and if AXC patents can rise here without litigation ...if they can get into fabless ( or fabricated themselves) production and sales in this arena with SOMETHING....well that would transform this company. I'll be holding. The potential resides.
However, even from this low low price ...we do not know that any of these things will happen, and we DO know that the TV revenues - still a substantial portion of AXC's income - will be declining rapidly...and if next year AXC continues to be a company with ever shrinking revenues and profits .....and the potential doesn't begin to develop into dollars and cents .....we will suffer another year in which we will not want to be buying or holding this company. I suspect it will eventually start going the other way - but for '98 I am not sure at all myself. Still risk here. Still potential reward. For the strong of stomach or agile traders only.
